WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
Uptown Melody LLC was founded in June 2021, born out of a desire to create intentional live music spaces for the communities of uptown New York. What started as a collaboration with the Boogie Down Grind Cafe has grown into a full-scale live entertainment and event production platform.
Since our debut, we have curated over 50 events, collaborated with small businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations, and connected creatives to the lovers of creativity across the Bronx and beyond.
We operate at the intersection of arts, culture, and community engagement — producing curated live music experiences and performance-based entertainment for community events, private functions, and organizational partnerships.

Meet The Founder
Ayanna Williams
Born and raised in the Bronx, Ayanna Williams has been performing as a singer-songwriter for over 20 years. A graduate of the City College of New York with a B.A. in Theatre, she built her craft through musical theatre, original songwriting, and two EPs — Delicate and Love Box.
When the pandemic limited performance opportunities in 2020, Ayanna launched her IG Live series Midweek Melody. In 2021, she channeled that energy into something bigger — Uptown Melody — a platform dedicated to the broader creative community of the Bronx and NYC.
